Description
The term "paper effigy" refers to the practice of creating replicas of objects using paper for religious or cultural rituals. One of the examples is the burning of paper money as offerings to ancestors or deities. In current century, there's a lack of young generation unfamiliar with paper effigy and have no desire to learn due to the lack of interest in traditional practices.

To allow great exposure to diverse range of cultures and practices, " 竹煊堂 ", also known as "Pambu" was designed as a paper effigy workshop to serve as a hub for client, Ding Feng Paper Effigies Trading to express the artistic and hands-on experience with paper based art and crafts. Pambu believes passionately in developing paper effigy as a "new form of art". The concept behind this project is to create an inspiring and inviting environment where it could educate the young generation to explore the possibilities of paper for crafting.
